National Helpline for Mental & Substance Use Disorders

SAMHSA’s National Helpline is a free, confidential, 24/7, 365-days-a-year treatment referral and information service (in English and Spanish) for individuals and families facing mental and/or substance use disorders.

National Suicide Prevention Lifeline

New 988 Suicide Prevention Hotline.  People experiencing a mental health crisis can call or text a three-digit number, 988, to reach the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline and connect with mental health professionals trained to respond to such emergencies.

Lifeline provides 24/7, free and confidential support for people in distress, prevention and crisis resources for you or your loved ones, and best practices for professionals.

Call the NA World Services line for general information about Narcotics Anonymous and its mission to support people seeking recovery from addiction.

Al-Anon Family Group

Call Al-Anon Family Groups for information about Al-Anon, and how to find local support groups for people who have a family member with substance use disorder.

Crisis Call Center

Call the Crisis Call Center or text CARE to 839863 for 24/7/365 crisis support. The purpose of the Crisis Call Center is to provide a safe source of support for individuals in any type of crisis. 

Military Helpline

Call the Military Helpline for 24/7/365 confidential crisis support. Hotline staff are veterans or others trained in military culture who understand what you are going through. They can provide you with information and resources to help you address mental health and adjustment issues. 


Call the YouthLine or text teen2teen to 839863 to receive teen-to-teen crisis support during select hours and help from adults at all other times. 

Crisis Text Line

Crisis Counselors are trained volunteers and not medical professionals. They can provide support, but not medical advice.
