Sean McNabb has long been a fixture of L.A.’s music scene. From rock to jazz, Sean is a multitalented bassist and singer who travels the world with some of music’s most noted acts.

At 21, Sean moved to Los Angeles to hit the fabled Sunset Strip. Within two weeks, he became the bassist for Quiet Riot, which had the distinction of being the first heavy metal band to reach the Billboard charts. Over the past 30 years, Sean has played with bands and musicians such as Dokken, Don Felder, Montrose, Bobby Kimball, Willie Chambers, House of Lords, Edgar Winter, Great White, Tower of Power singer Ellis Hall, David Garfield and Lynch Mob. Sean has been in bands on various tour packages, including with KISS, the Scorpions, Cinderella, James Brown and Ozzy Osbourne.

More recently, Sean returned to his childhood love of acting. His 28 IMDB credits include supporting roles in the Lifetime movies “Dying for a Baby” and “Cheerleader Nightmare”; seasons 4 to 6 of the FX series “Sons of Anarchy”; and “Street Survivors: The True Story of the Lynyrd Skynyrd Plane Crash.” Sean has studied the Stanislavsky acting method with celebrated teachers Jack Plotnick, Sal Romeo and Jeffrey Brooks. He is currently studying with Anthony Gilardi.

Sean paired his on-screen talent with his knowledge of music as the host of Best of AXS TV Concerts 2012: Legends of Rock. In 2019, Sean was invited to appear at the Albuquerque Comic Con.

In addition to the 40-plus albums in his discography, Sean has worked on music for commercials, including ones for the Dr. Phil show, FedEx and Norton AntiVirus, as well as the catchy McDonald’s tune “I’m Lovin’ It.”

In the community, Sean is a board member of the Dio Cancer Fund and active with its Ride for Ronnie motorcycles and music benefit. He has been the grand marshal on a number of charity rides, including the Seattle Children’s Hospital Children’s Ride, the King Run to benefit veterans in Wisconsin and the Greatest Escape Motorcycle Ride to benefit mesothelioma research in California. He participates in Christmas toy runs, the Love Ride charity rally and numerous other charitable rides.

Sean emceed the Unmasking the Cure for Cancer mesothelioma research benefit and cohosted the Pasadena Jazz Festival’s Rock for Relief, benefiting Hurricane Katrina survivors. He is a frequent speaker and sponsor for those in drug and alcohol addiction recovery.
